Which data we collect
Through the contact form we collect your full name, phone number, email address, island and the message you write to us.
Through the quote configurator we collect, in addition to your contact details and language:
- The property type and the installation options you choose (panels, battery, charger, heat pump).
- The address of the installation and its coordinates.
- The roof outline you draw on the map and an aerial image of the roof, which is included in the estimate.
- The electricity bill range or annual consumption you enter and, where relevant, the floor area to be heated.
- The ownership status of the property and the planned project timeline.
For security and abuse prevention we also process technical data about the request, such as the IP address and the time taken to fill in the form.
Browsing data for statistical purposes is only collected with your prior consent, as explained in the cookie policy.
Purposes of processing
- Preparing the indicative estimate you request and sending it to you by email.
- Answering the enquiries you send through the contact form.
- Following up on your request commercially and, if you wish, arranging a technical visit.
- Keeping the website secure and preventing fraudulent use.
- With your consent, analysing how the site is used in order to improve it.
Legal basis
- Pre-contractual measures at your request (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR): preparing and sending the estimate and answering your enquiries.
- Consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR): analytics cookies and any commercial communication not linked to your request.
- Legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR): website security and prevention of form abuse.
Data retention
- Estimate requests and enquiries: up to 2 years from the last contact, unless the relationship becomes contractual.
- Customer data: for the duration of the contractual relationship and afterwards for the applicable statutory retention periods (up to 6 years under Spanish commercial law).
- Analytics data: for the periods stated in the cookie policy.

We do not share your data with third parties for their own purposes, and we never sell it.
International transfers
Some providers are established in the United States. In those cases, the data transfer is covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or by the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
Your rights
You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, portability, objection and restriction of processing at any time by writing to j.coll@vatsolar.com, attaching a copy of an identity document if we need to verify your identity.
If you believe we have not handled your rights correctly, you can lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).
Automated decisions
The configurator automatically calculates an indicative estimate of cost, savings and production from the data you enter. This estimate has no legal effects: any offer or contract is always prepared and reviewed by our team.
Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, alteration and unauthorised access, taking into account the state of the art and the nature of the data processed.
